Welcome to Apprenticeship Carolina™, the SC Technical College System’s newest tool to assist our business partners achieve their workforce development goals. Apprenticeship Carolina’s primary mission is to ensure that all employers in South Carolina have access to the information and technical assistance they need to create their own demand-driven registered apprenticeship programs. We accomplish this mission in cooperation with our 16 technical colleges across the state, the South Carolina Office of the US Department of Labor-Office of Apprenticeships, our colleagues in the workforce investment system, and other key stakeholders who are dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of South Carolina employers.

More than 950 occupations across all industry clusters nationwide are recognized through registered apprenticeship programs and new occupations are regularly added as employer needs evolve to meet new economic realities. Apprenticeship Carolina supports the development of apprenticeships in all of these occupations with particular concentration on the following industry areas of critical interest to South Carolina:

• Information Technology
• Tourism and Hospitality
