LibGuides are subject- or course-specific research guides, created by librarians, which can be used in a variety of ways. One way they have been creatively used is to entice faculty to create library assignments. This presentation will provide an overview of the "elevator" speech approach, creation of process guides for assignments across a discipline, and use of LibGuides for departmental and divisional meetings.

This presentation will explain the model which encompasses three parts: 1) putting didactic information using multimedia presentations online; 2) using the classroom time for activities that allow students to experience didactic learning; and 3)summarizing and assessing student learning.
