Denmark Tech hires new president
Denmark Technical College’s new president says he wants to increase student enrollment and ensure academic success. The area commission selected Dr. Michael M. Townsend Sr. to serve as the college’s 10th president during a special called meeting on Monday. He will officially assume his position on Jan. 18. »
Trident Technical College president receives Chief Executive Officer Award
The Association of Community College Trustees has chosen Trident Technical College President Mary Thornley as the recipient of the 2009 Southern Regional Chief Executive Officer Award. Thornley will receive the award at the ACCT Annual Community College Leadership Congress being held in San Francisco October 7-9. Dr. Para M. Jones Named President of Spartanburg Community College
Spartanburg Community College (SCC) has named Para M. Jones, Ph.D. to the position of president, effective October 5, 2009. The Spartanburg County Commission for Technical and Community Education selected Dr. Jones after a national search. She will be SCC’s fifth president and the first woman to lead the college. »
